The digital transformation imperative is real and a top priority in many organizations. Yet, while often approached in this way, this transformation is primarily not about technology. Digital transformation is in the first place all about a deep transformation of your business and organization, leveraging digital capabilities to implement a step-change in delighting customers while simultaneously reducing costs. And this does not happen by coincidence, it is hard work

 In this session, we will discuss different pathways towards digital maturity and the organizational changes needed to manage and be successful in the digital transformation journey.

short bio about the lecturer 

Steven De Haes, PhD, is Dean of Antwerp Management School and Professor of Digital Strategy & Governance at Antwerp Management School and the University of Antwerp.

He is actively engaged in teaching and applied research in the domains of Digital Technology Governance & Management, Digital Technology Strategy & Alignment, Digital Technology Value & Performance Management, Digital Technology Assurance & Audit and Digital Technology Risk & Security. His teaching experience and activity ranges from bachelor, master, executive to PhD level. He also acts as Academic Director for the Executive Masters in IT Governance & Assurance, Enterprise IT Architecture, IT Management and IT Risk & Security Management. 

He held positions of Director of Research, Associate Dean Master Programs and Associate Dean of Faculty for the Antwerp Management School (2008-2018).  He also acts as speaker and facilitator in academic and professional conferences and coaches organizations in their  digital technology strategies, governance, alignment, value and audit/assurance efforts. He was involved in the development of the international IT governance framework COBIT as researcher and co-author.
